The Al Platt Award

Each year, the Grossmont-Mt. Helix Improvement Association honors an outstanding neighbor whose volunteer service has made a lasting difference in our community. The Al Platt Community Service Award recognizes the kind of selfless dedication that strengthens the bonds between us all.

Named for long-time GMIA leader Al Platt, this award celebrates individuals who go above and beyond—organizing neighborhood events, advocating for local improvements, or simply showing up for their neighbors when it matters most.
