Grab your tie-dye shirts and peace symbols for the GMIA Annual Dinner, June 21, 2025. We will be celebrating in 60s style at the Cuyamaca College Student Center, beginning with happy hour at 4:30. At 5:30, enjoy a roast chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pineapple upside-down cake for dessert. Vegetarian dinners also available. Beginning at 4 pm. you can get a tour of Cuyamaca College with a student ambassador. Hear from Andy Lawler, chief of the San Miguel Fire District, and the keynote presentation from Historian Jim Newland, who will talk about the fascinating history of Mt. Helix, and the men and women who settled the area. There will be a silent auction and a slide show of the GMIA activities since last summer. Your picture may be in it! Tickets are $30/each until June 11, when they go up to $35.
